As portable as it is, it is one of those speakers that you don’t carry around with you all day long.

Plus, Megaboom is nearly two pounds in weight. The speaker tower stands nearly 9 inches tall and is a little over 3 inches wide. Megaboom is just as special as its packaging. It’s very heavy duty plastic and has a locking clasp to ensure the speaker is safely inside. The ‘box’ itself is actually a giant cylinder that wraps around the cylindrical shape of the speaker. The speaker ships with a Micro USB charging cable and a charging brick that’s not much bigger than the ones that ship with tablets. It has to have some of the most unique packaging I’ve ever seen. First of all, I have to remark about its packaging. The Megaboom is the epitome of what you want from a Bluetooth speaker. I’ve tried out UE speakers before in store kiosks and really wanted one to put through its paces, but I haven’t had the opportunity until now. It was as if it were Christmas morning and I was 5 years old again and surprised by what Santa Claus left behind. When the UE Megaboom arrived, I really couldn’t contain my excitement. I’ve been testing out the Megaboom wireless speaker from Ultimate Ears (UE) recently and have completely fallen in love with it’s gorgeous sound. Even though some of those speakers have striking features, the most important function of a speaker is its sound output. I’ve tested out speakers that fit in the palm of my hands, speakers that have hundreds of colored LED lights that dance with music, and even waterproof speakers that float. I especially love speakers that have unique features. UE Megaboom Wireless Speaker is the ultimate listening experience.
